New direction
Lovers,
I am so sorry about the on and off break from the blog during the past few months. I have longed for you all, your amazing feedback and energy but It didn’t feel right to return before knowing what direction I wanted my blog to take.
During this break I have not read any blogs which is very unusual for me, even those belonging to my amazing friends. The only blog I didn’t managed to cut out of my days is that of the beautiful Michaela Forni. I’ve been following her blog for so long that she now feels like part of the family. The reason I am so addicted to her blog is because she takes her readers on a journey, her journey. Her blog is so personal yet not private. She writes about fashion but it goes beyond that. She writes about life, she doesn’t try to glamorise it, it is what it is, with its ups and downs and that’s what makes her blog feel real. My life is not all about shopping and travel and I want a blog that represents me. Everyone has different reason for blogging and want different things out of it, my reason has been the need for a creative space where I can write.
I might spend a day with a friend who just lost her job or going through a divorce and feel like writing about loss of direction or a post on relationships and break ups. The concern there is that my readers will think I am writing about my own life which wouldn’t be the case, that’s where the line between personal and private goes. I am lucky to say that I live a rich life where I meet interesting people with many layers and intensity. These people, some friends others strangers, inspire me on daily basis and set off chains of thoughts that I want to be able to share with you. Of course fashion, beauty and travel is a big part of my life and that will be reflected on hereĀ as well ;)
I guess what I want is a more personal blog and that’s what I promise you from now on. You may hate it or perhaps you will love it….all I want is for you to feel something when you visit my blog.
I’ve missed you so much.
Stay close,
Dena
This is where I’m writing from, me and Charlotte’s made up office in cosy pub The Elgin near Ladbroke Grove. I love this place so much. Quiet during the day and buzzing at night.

welcome back and never leave us again. I’ve been reading your blog for over two years now and just like you are addicted to Michaela’s blog I am to yours. So be fair and stop it with these long breaks.

I HEAR you. And I like the direction you are going. Love it actually. Sometimes blogging can feel… artificial. Posting things that are too personal almost seems unwelcomed in the blog world.
My life is changing a lot and I am sure your’s is as well! Emails are needed for catch up!
I miss you beautiful Dena x
beautiful as always
I love this post as it pretty much describes how I feel at the moment too, I say bring on the personal side I enjoy hearing and seeing peoples everyday life…just like your pub which looks like a great place to hang out. Looking forward to more posts to come xx
