Warming Tea
I’ve been down with a terrible cold for the past week and my head has felt like it’s about to explode. I passed Neal’s Yard a few days back and decided to take home some of their Warming tea. I can’t recommend this enough, if you’re a tea lover like me then you’re going to love this. It’s like a cup of comfort. It has ginger and cinnamon that warms your chest and makes you feel calm and cared for.

A bite of heaven
As many of you know my work schedule is not like most peoples. When you work in television, esp news, you tend to do 12 hour shifts which means you end up doing 4 x 12 hours and then you have 4 days off. I’m sure this sounds like heaven to many, but rotating this way means certain months (like this month) I work all weekends. This week I have Monday- Thursday off and today I spend most of the day with boyfriend. We went to Vue cinema in Westfield and watched The Adventures of Tintin. I was so disappointed- being the Tintin fan that I am I expected so much more. Have you seen it yet? if so then what did you think?
Handsome wanted to spoil me for putting up with the movie so he tooks me to my little heaven here in London: Ladurée ;) I had the Ispahan: Smooth rose flavored macaroon biscuit, rose petal cream, fresh raspberries and lychees. I can’t imagine anything more delicious.

Cinnamon buns
One of my favourite swedish treats is the Cinnamon bun. The lovely Stina recently did a great post on how to bake them and the recipe is in English in case you want to give it a try. I’ve had not one but two of these delicious rolls today.

Berry Delight
Hey lovelies,
How’s your Wednesday been? I am still on annual leave until Friday. We had some sunshine today. I walked to Westfield shopping mall which is in Shepherds Bush- about 20 min walk from Notting Hill. My gym is on the top floor there and I wanted to try out their Zumba class. It was great fun and the instructor was so friendly, that makes a huge difference. Tonight we’re watching Two Lovers, I love any movie with Joaquin Phoenix in it. What’s movie night without some treats right?
As you see below Antioxidant should be my middle name considering the amount of berries I consume. As you might know by now I have a box of blueberries each day. Some days I add other berries to my bowl :) But we don’t want to overdose on healthy food, so I’ve got some Caramel Galaxy chocolate to balance it out.

Pancake craving
Had the best pancakes of my life at My Old Dutch Pancake House on king’s road. Olya and I were both surprised that we managed to get through both pancakes and still crave dessert.

A glorious morning
Another perfect morning here on Westbourne Grove. As the tradition goes, we started our Sunday with breakfast at Daylesford organic, we sat outside since the weather is lovely. I had their amazing muesli and self-made yoghurt. Now time for gym. After that we are invited at my friends mother’s place to have some lovely Persian food. Yep Sundays are all about being good to yourself :)

What Dena did…
My last four days off work seem best described in photos and with food :)

1. Celebrated a dear friend’s birthday at Persian restaurant Beluga. Great Service, fantastic food plus outside seating. Her b-day cake was so delicious, we always get our b-day cakes from Bake & Cake- best in London.
2. Met up with my editor and my Jerusalem correspondent who was in town for delicious passion fruit cocktails at Bar red (just off Carnaby street).
3. Had cupcakes with my lovely Katie. She took me to Primark- my first visit there and I realized I’m too much of quality snob to be able to shop there.
4. Had dinner at Busaba Eathai (Westfield) with handsome. I’m crazy about Thai food and they are best for it. You can find them at Westfield, Wardour street, Old street and a few other places. Make sure to have the lemon grass tea and coconut cookie for desert.

Take me to Morocco
Met up with my favourite Swersian (Swedish-Persian) sisters for a relaxing dinner at CoucCous Darna in South Kensington. I love Moroccan food esp tagines and can really recommend the one I had tonight. The weather was beautiful so we sat outside and enjoyed some bubbly. I’m back at work tomorrow until Monday. Most of you have Friday to look forward to and the weekend so I’m going to be fair and wish you all an amazing weekend in the sun :) xoxo

Antioxidants
I always like to have green tea and berries when I blog, today is no different. I must have good levels of antioxidants considering the amount of berries I eat.
Raspberries, blueberries, green tea and yummi chocolate.

Food for the soul
Having dinner at Galleria on New Cavendish Street. As you already know, I’m a huge fan of Persian food. It’s simply so delicious. And yes I drink tea with my food, a strange habit I picked up in Russia.
Boneless chicken and lamb kebab with saffron rice.
