Thailand part 2: James Bond Island

During our wonderful holiday in Thailand we went on lots of excursions. One took us to James Bond Island known locally as Ko Tapu. This island found fame through the 1974 Bond film “The Man with the Golden Gun” starring Roger Moore.

It has pretty gorgeous scenery and I recommend you visit the island if you go to Phuket. We had an amazing tour guide ever called Happy- he was smiling non-stop and spoke perfect English which is rare in Thailand.

The only thing missing was some James Bond atmosphere. The island was filled with stalls selling sea shells and necklaces which you can get anywhere else in Thailand. I would have loved some James Bond dvd’s or soundtrack considering this is what makes this island a tourist attraction.

Either way, it’s a beautiful place as you can see…
