Back to reality and work
So my 12 days off work has flown by, yet this is the first holiday I’ve had where I haven’t done much at all. I decided to stay in London for once which has been nice, especially during the first few sunny days. I’ve visited Holland Park every single day which has got my friends concerned, they can’t understand these daily visits and probably find them a little compulsive. The park calms me and the strolls are part of my daily exercise. What I missed in London which made me terribly unhappy before was being far away from nature, then I realized I had this gorgeous park just 10 min walk from my place. It’s so different from Hyde Park, much nicer if you ask me. Plus it’s really special to me because my love introduced it to me, some days we go together, other days I go alone.
Besides the daily park visits and spending time with him, I’ve spent times with my girls and Adrian of course. The photo above is taken last week when me, Charlotte and Lavenna visited The Box, that’s a night I will never forget. And today…well today was a very significant day, an eye opener in many ways….all in the right direction. Goodnight my lovelies, wishing you a wonderful new week. x

Goodbye Stockholm, Hello London!
So I find myself longing for my life in London, longing for the city itself and my favourite places awaiting me such as Holland Park. I’ve left too many precious things behind, specifically someone very special and can’t wait to be back tomorrow night. It has been great being home in sunny Stockholm with the family and presenting the My City Stockholm episode, but I will be flying back on clouds tomorrow evening. I’ve heard it’s been raining non-stop in London and I’ve just checked the weather and it seems like the rain will continue for another week. Why are we so scared of a little rain? I’ve decided from now on to dress right for the weather and enjoy my life as if its sunny :)

Swalk Salon blow dry
I’ve visited blow dry bars before but I’ve never been as happy as I was last week when I had it done at Swalk Salon on Portobello Road. Akiela listens to you and understands exactly what it is that you’re after. My hair looked so full and sexy and I felt so confident that night, it’s amazing what a difference good hair can do. So if you got a big date coming up or a fun night out with the girls, make sure you drop by Swalk and get Akiela to do your hair. I can’t recommend her enough.

The day I met you
When the sun shines over London there’s no where else I’d rather be, especially thanks to my amazing friends that go slightly mad in the sun and make my life so much fun. This was a very special day, not only because I was spending it with these lovelies but because a couple of hours earlier I had met someone very special for the very first time. You never know what the day ahead will bring and how a meeting can change so much.

5PREVIEW
I’ve been involved in a love affair with 5PREVIEW ever since discovering their printed t-shirts on a blog. They are now a fully established fashion brand, worn by fashion lovers around the globe. London based Scandi boutique Wild Swans stocks their collection alongside that of other Scandinavian brands such as Graumann, JOFAMA and Ganni.

Marilyn Monroe: A British Love Affair
This tiny and free exhibition is currently on at the National Portrait Gallery and available up until 24th March 2013. It displays photographs and magazine covers from 1947 to 1962 which show the transformation of the world’s most popular pin-up to acclaimed actress, highlighting the British photographers and personalities who admired her and worked with her. Norma Jeane Mortenson aka Marilyn Monroe is the eternal Hollywood starlet who we all love, perhaps because of her combination of innocence and knowingness.

Off to Stockholm we go…
Friday at last! What are your plans for the weekend? I am all packed to take a bunch of my friends back home to Stockholm with me. It’s going to be an amazing weekend where I shall act as a tourist guide and make sure they leave singing Sweden’s praises. My friends will return to London on Sunday but I will stay on until the following Sunday and catch up with old friends and most importantly my family. Life is good- esp when have a plan ;) !!! I can’t wait to share that plan with you but I need a few more months. It’s some exciting stuff I’ll have you know ;)

Happy days
Last Saturday was the hottest year of the summer so far. Me, Louise and Shahram spent the entire day in Hyde Park. Can I please wake up to another day like that tomorrow.

Mi casa
It’s so hard getting up this morning, all I want it a proper sleep in which seems to never happen. Life is in full speed recently and I’m having fun living it, so much that I forget all about giving myself any rest. Hang in there, in a months time you’ll be tanning yourself on the rooftops of Marrakech and then you can nap all you want.
Visited the National Portrait Gallery yesterday where the BP Portrait Awards is on at the moment. They do late night opening on Thursdays and Fridays, so if you don’t have big plans for tonight why not pay them a visit. I’m annoyed it took me so long to make it there.
Did you know I live above an art gallery? My lovely balcony looks down on all the great work by the artists. Sometimes at night I sneak in there just to have a private viewing. It’s hard not to get inspired and the whole place have a magical feel to it. Must get ready for work, have a lovely day and an even lovelier weekend. x

Right Here, Right Now.
It’s a bit hectic at work at the moment while I’m preparing for a duty trip to Tajikistan. There’s no better way of winding down than meeting up with friends at our favourite London pub The Elgin. Can you tell I’m a fan? He looks so damn good.
