Oh Dior you won me over
On my way to Tenerife I stopped by the duty-free shop and noticed Dior’s Spring 2012 nail polishes are out. I adore both colours and must admit that this is a first for me: first time that I’ve chosen Dior over Chanel. Which is your favourite?

Today I wish I was wearing
… all of these beautiful items from Wild Swans. Jofama does the best leather jackets, the one seen here is topping my wish list. Instead of this dream outfit I’m wearing a black maxi skirt, a navi cotton top and a Missoni scarf- cosy enough for the office on a Sunday.

FNUG Like Lolita
While visiting Wild Swans I purchased a new nail polish. FNUG is a Danish Fashion Nail Polish brand that promises chip-resistant polish that not only looks good but conditions the nails. But we’ve heard that before so I had to try it before I could give you my verdict.
The FNUG polishes cost £ 15 which is a few pounds more than OPI which I normally use. I put on 2 coats of Like Lolita and met up with Leia who I consider the queen of nail polish/art. When it got her approval I knew I was on to something good. The polish stayed on 6 whole days without chipping the slightest, and it only came off because I decided it was time for a change. The colour was really intense and glossy. When I removed the polish my nails looked healthy and not discolored as they sometimes get after wearing a bright red for a long time.
FNUG polishes contain strengthening silica and vitamin A, D, E, and B. They also contain caviar to bring your nails the benefit of the high content of nutritious essential amino acids and minerals found in the micro eggs.
Do I recommend FNUG nail polish? Yes very much so, and I can’t wait to try out other shades from their collection.

It’s Totally Fort Worth It
I’ve discovered yet another favourite OPI colour. This one is called It’s Totally Fort Worth It and part of the Texas collection. It’s a shimmery lavender grey and it’s very sheer. This is a nice alternative to pale pink if you want a subtle look.

Guy Meets Gal-veston
I’m loving this shade from OPI’s Texas collection. It has a sorbet like finish to it which means you can achieve a translucent look if you apply 1-2 coats, and 3 coats for a more opaque look. It’s easier to apply than other nail polishes which I can only imagine is because of its jelly like consistency and it has a really nice shine to it. This shade is lovely coral, perfect for the summer.

Illusions d’Ombres de Chanel Nail Polish
While I’m enjoying every minute of the summer, news like this make me not mind the autumn ahead. Chanel has revealed it new Autumn 2011 Illusions d’Ombres makeup collection inspired by precious metals and jewels. It includes these three amazing nail polish shades. What do you think? I’m personally lusting over Graphite which is listed as a limited edition colour. I better get myself to the Chanel counter tomorrow before it’s too late.

Beauty review- TopShop nail polish
Many of you have been asking about the quality of the TopShop nail polishes, whether they chip easily or not. I have had the Parma Violet on for the past 5 days and no chipping yet. I must however point out that I am using the base and top coat from Nails Inc that I wrote about here. Without a good top coat most polishes chip so make sure you’re using one.
ps. LooknBe has done an interview with me here.
