La Tulipe

My signature fragrance was for many year Coco Chanel. I loved its spicy yet sweet scent. Two years back I went completely  off my favourite perfume. In fact I became super sensitive to most heavy scents and stopped using perfume until I discovered Diptique’s Oyede. It’s citric and very fresh and I’ve been using it since. I even made my other half change his scent to something fresh. Anything heavy or spicy would make me sneeze non-stop. Lately I’ve grown bored of Oyedo and been looking for something similar or as fresh to use besides it.

A few weeks back me and the lovely Susie were shopping at Liberty when we discovered La Tulip by Swedish perfume house Byredo. Susie who fell in love with the scent bought a bottle and I spent the entire day smelling her wrists. I can’t get over how gorgeous this perfume smells, it reminds me of running in a beautiful field on a sunny day. I also love how the bottle looks, simple and elegant. Scent of a man

My blogging habits don’t look good at the moment, basically I think of blogging all the time but don’t actually do it. But I do have a good excuse, sort of… been working hard and also working on some big changes involving the blog. Some exciting news for those who follow my blog. You will find out what in exactly one months time (or perhaps sooner).

So my long weekend has started. Yesterday I decided to spoil handsome who is always spoiling me by getting him the most wonderful scent ever: Verbenas of Provence by Jo Malone. He loves it and I love smelling him. I love all fresh citrus scents and to me this one is a very masculine one though Jo Malone fragrances are unisex.

Birthday Wish List

With my birthday a few days away I decided to put together a wish list :) Hopefully some of my loved ones drop by and take a peek. My new scent

Turns out my prince charming reads my blog more often than I think because he came home with the YSL perfume I blogged about here. Saharienne really suits me because I loves citrus scents. It has lovely notes of lemon and mandarin and Italian bergamot with heart notes of flower petals and orange leaf.

Shopping is good for you

A few weeks ago Liberty had the best deal on, spend £90 and get a Liberty make up bag filled with goodies. I got my favourite Hermes perfume and Bumble and Bumble shampoo + conditioner (which I’ve used since as you can see on the photo).

And all this was for free… I love freebies, make you feel as if you “saved” even though deep inside you know you’re being a fool :)
